How to rewrite your resume so you can get past the AI bot screening.
Keywords
Bots screen your resume for keywords that match employer requirements. Using the right keywords is essential to pass the applicant tracking systems (ATS). Focus on skills related to the role along with years of experience, education and other qualifications. Yes, you need to tweak your resume for each job.
Find hard skill (often listed in requirements) and soft skill (usually located in responsibility descriptions) keywords in the job description.
For example in this job description:
- Translate product strategy and user needs into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
- Ensure a cohesive, intuitive, and motivating end-to-end user experience
- Design with a systems mindset across consumer experience, expert workflows, and AI systems
- Develop scalable design patterns and frameworks that support product growth
- 5–8+ years of product design experience
Keywords: user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity, intuitive, user experience, end-to-end, AI systems, workflows, scalable, design systems and design patterns, 5 (or more) years, product design experience
To achieve best matches use the keywords exactly as they appear in the job description.
NOTE: Keywords that appear multiple times, are tied to core job duties, or are listed as required qualifications should be treated as high-priority.

Design
Keep it simple so it can easily be scanned. Stick to Calibri, Times New Roman, and Arial for fonts. If you upload a pdf with a unique font then the ATS will likely struggle and this will cause errors in the scan process.
